Welcome to Ol' Tom™ Technical Turkey Gear
We absolutely cannot wait for you to tour our website. You are going to find a multitude of never-before-offered products that are so well thought out, you are going to say over and over again, "Why hasn't someone already thought of this?"
Why do we do this? It boils down to the pure love of chasing gobblers and being outdoors. Simple things like easing into the woods before daybreak, trying your best to not make a sound, yet the silence is deafening or walking through a dew covered field at daybreak as the woods come alive.
The birds begin chirping, squirrels start scurrying, owls hooting, and gobblers exploding. The air is clean and crisp and the first hints of the morning sun begin to build the anticipation of what is going to be a beautiful day.
These are the moments when you reflect on how lucky you are to be a part of this amazing world. You can actually feel the blood flowing through your veins at times like these. Then, you set up, thrilled at where you actually are, away from it all. At this moment, you don't have to deal with the sounds of civilization, no cell phones, fax machines, emails to return or bills to pay. Nothing but you, mother earth, and that gobbler that is setting the woods on fire.
The explosion is getting louder and you know he is coming your way. Now you wonder whether or not the entire woods can hear the sound of your pounding heart or heavy breathing. Suddenly, out of the corner of your eye, you pick up movement on your side and instantly the explosion feels like it could knock you over. This wily OL' TOM has flanked you without being detected. Now you can't move and he is slowly strutting into your kill zone. This is why we do this! There's no substitute for that rush.
When you sit down and truly consider how precious these moments are, why in the world would you settle for inadequate gear? Poorly designed gear can absolutely ruin moments like these. When you place a personal value on your time spent in the woods chasing gobblers, how can you even begin to try and justify paying less to own a vest, shirt, or any piece of equipment that aggravates you each and every time you use it? How can you justify even spending a second asking yourself "What is this pocket for?" SHOULDN'T YOU KNOW what the pocket is for? Shouldn't it be obvious? YES IT SHOULD.
