Zach Rose

"I'm excited to be a member of the Ol' Tom Team and promote their fine products. I can assure you there is no hunting situation that Ol' Tom products won't perform in. I look forward to the opportunities and friendships that lie ahead with Ol' Tom."
-Zach Rose
Zach Rose is a 36 year old Deputy Sheriff from Lincoln, CA. Zach is a Northern California native and was privileged to grow up with family and friends who introduced him to hunting and fishing at the young age of 12. As a young man Zach loved to hunt ducks and pheasants in the rice fields and marshes of the Sacramento Valley. On a spring day in 1987 Zach's life changed forever. Zach called in and shot his first wild turkey. Zach contracted the disease known as turkey hunting and hasn't been the same since.

Zach prides himself with a "Blood, Sweat and Tears" style of hunting on mostly public hunting areas around California. Zach spends about 20 days a year in the turkey woods with his favorite gun the Remington 11-87, his favorite box caller "Old No.7", that he crafted from a piece of cherry and white oak taken from a Jack Daniels whiskey aging barrel, and Zach loves his Ol' Tom Vestless Mesh Back shirt with spine pad that keeps him cool on those hot California hunts. Zach recently decided to take turkey hunting to the next level and he's hoping to complete the world slam by 2009.

When Zach is not in the turkey woods he loves to spend time with his wife Karen and their three children (Orion 14, Chase 8 and Taylor 3). Zach has several hobbies to keep him busy in the off season, but his favorite hobbies are keeping his turkey hunting website updated and making turkey callers. Zach also enjoys hunting ducks out of his duck boat, chasing mule deer in Idaho, catching salmon and striped bass in the rivers near his home.

Zach is an active member of the NWTF and recently became a committee member with the Sacramento Chapter. Feel free to visit Zach's website www.norcalgobblers.com or email him at zach@norcalgobblers.com
