My father introduced me to deer and turkey hunting in 1989, when I was four years old. Since then, I have been an avid deer, turkey, and waterfowl hunter. My father worked with Eddie Salter Calls in the late 1980's and that is how I was introduced to competitive turkey calling. I attended my first turkey calling contest in the 1990's; around the time the World Turkey Calling Championship was moved to Birmingham, Alabama.
In 1996, I called in my first turkey calling competition and since then, have called in numerous turkey, along with a few duck, goose, and owl hooting contests. I am currently pro-staffing with Woodhaven Custom Calls, and below is a list of some of my major turkey calling accomplishments:
2000 & 2003 Alabama State Turkey Calling Championship - Junior Champion
2001 & 2002 Realtree Grand America Turkey Calling Contest - Junior Champion
2002 NWTF Grand National Calling Championships - 1st Runner-Up Intermediate
2004 & 2007 Alabama State Turkey Calling Championship - Friction Champion
2006 National Wild Turkey Calling Contest - Yellville, Arkansas; Friction Champion
2007 World Championship Turkey Calling Contest - Friction Finalist
2008 Wild Turkey Bourbon NWTF Grand National Calling Championships - 1st Runner-up Friction Division
