Stephan Richardson
Hometown: Springdale, AR Family: Wife- Tricia, children- Dakota(13), Danielle(13), Sarah(7), and two step children Taylor(11), and Faith (8). Career: Account Manager/Marketing, Professional Hunter Hobbies: hunting, fishing, camping, 3-D Archery, turkey calling competitions Hunting has been a part of Stephan's life for as long as he can remember. Growing up in the delta of south eastern Arkansas, Stephan's dad, Douglas, would carry Stephan on his back through the swamps and fields to their duck blinds, when he was too little to make it on his own. Learning early on to handle a firearm safely, it didn't take long to bag his first game, a gadwall hen. Before long he was taking squirrels and rabbits on his own. Stephan started shooting bows at 14 and took his first deer with a bow at 17. In 2004 Stephan filled all of his fall tags in Arkansas using archery only, taking 1 bear, 3 deer, and 1 turkey. Stephan often competes in 3-D tournaments, regularly finishing in the top 3. Archery has taught Stephan the importance of practice, his favorite saying is " When the time to perform arrives, the time to prepare has past." Turkey hunting has been a passion for Richardson since 1994. Having hunted in many different states Stephan has taken many birds with shotgun as well as with archery equipment. Stephan is on the prostaff for companies such as Hook's Custom Calls, and Ol' Tom Technical Gear. He regularly competes in turkey calling contests. Wins include: 1st runner up in the 2007 NWTF Grand National Gobbling contest, 1st runner up in the 2007 World Gobbling, 2007 Grand Oklahoma Gobbling Champion, 1st runner up in the 2008 NWTF Grand National 2-Man team competition, and is the current 2008 NWTF Grand National Gobbling Champion. Stephan's presentation at turkey calling and hunting seminars is very informative, as well as entertaining. He regularly speaks at men's ministry events inspiring others to be productive and to live as good examples to others. Stephan attributes much of his success to his family upbringing, faith in God, and strong work ethic. With his "never quit" attitude Stephan goes the extra mile to put himself or the client he is guiding in the best situation possible to have the "hunt of a lifetime" when it's Open Season! |
