Age: 46
Hometown: Maryville Tennessee
What age did you start hunting? 12
How many days a year do you hunt: 40 plus per year
Favorite Hunting Area: I do most of my hunting in my home state, however I have a special place in Florida that I really enjoy.
Favorite Style of Turkey Hunting: Whatever style works on a given day. I think you have to be able to change tactics daily and with each turkey you are hunting.
Gun of Choice: Beretta Xtrema II
Favorite Ol' Tom Product: Probably the Time and Motion Vest. I have had dozens of vests, but nothing else comes close to the features on this vest. The Vest-less shirt and bib overall come in a close second allowing for flexibility in hunting style. This product was definitely designed for turkey hunters.
Favorite turkey call: I have a slate call that was given to me by a good friend. It always comes out of the vest in crunch time.
Proudest Achievement: My Proudest Outdoor Achievement has been my involvement with the National Wild Turkey Federation.

I have been married over 25 years to my wife Patti. My three children, my oldest son Ben, my daughter Elizabeth, and our youngest Michael have all enjoyed hunting with me in the great outdoors. I would like to thank my wife and children for allowing me the time to pursue America's grandest bird.

As I mentioned above my proudest outdoor achievement has been my involvement in the National Wild Turkey Federation. I was fortunate enough to be one of the founding members of our local chapter, The Little T Longbeards in Blount County TN. The achievements this chapter have won include the Best new Chapter Award, Top Jakes Event, 2007 5 Star Chapter (the only chapter in the state to receive this award in 2007) and we have been a Golden Gobbler Chapter since inception. Outside of our local chapter I am a District Director for East TN, a Senior Sponsor member, and I am currently an active member on the Tennessee State Board of Directors.

If it were not for the many new friendships I have made while working with the NWTF, I probably would have been satisfied just chasing birds around the hills of Tennessee. Since expanding my turkey hunting experiences with my NWTF Family I have been able to hunt several western states with a great finish to my Grand Slam hunt in Florida. It doesn't matter where the pursuit of the wild turkey takes you. From The Devils Tower in Wyoming, to the swamps and palmettos in Florida, every place you hunt is different and unique with each offering its own challenge for today's turkey hunter.

Harvesting a turkey on every trip can be important, but the new friends, the beautiful scenery, and the different hunting styles are what make turkey hunting a Grand Slam of an adventure. A good hunter knows that advice from an experienced hunting guide is solid gold. It also helps to listen to the other turkey hunters as they share their hunting experiences with you. You never know when you might pick up a hunting tip that can save another hunt someday.

I would like to thank OL' Tom for the opportunity to represent such a great product line. My initial interview with OL' Tom was at the NWTF National Convention. I was spending way to much time in the booth telling all of the staff and any customers that would listen how much I liked their products and how much of it I use. The OL' Tom line of products has definitely been invented for turkey hunters, by turkey hunters. And man do they know their hunting.
