I love 'Ol Tom clothing because it is comfortable and stylish. More importantly, all of the little "gadgets" that are on the equipment aren't there for marketing reasons. They are there because they really are practical and work exceptionally well! I recommend these clothing lines because they are great garments that make a hunters time in the field more enjoyable.

I am a 35 year old veterinarian who lives in Defiance, MO. I am married with a 2 year old son named Kory and another kid on the way. My brother and I are partners in practice and we own and operate 2 veterinary clinics in St. Charles, Missouri. Veterinary medicine and family keep my schedule pretty full, but I always can find time to get out in the field when hunting season rolls around. I usually hunt in Canada once or twice a fall, then hunt in MO, KS, AR, OK here in the USA and occasionally go to Mexico.

I also own MOmarsh, Inc. It is a hunting product company that I started back in the 90's. MOmarsh's main focus is manufacturing high quality "layout" style boats. I still do all of the product design work on new products and some of the sales and PR things for MOmarsh. We have a good team that keeps the wheels turning smoothly when things get busy. I personally hunt out of the boats quite a bit here in Missouri and across North America as the schedule for a particular year dictates. They are a great tool for duck hunters to have in the arsenal. You can hunt in comfort with a low profile while being where the birds want to be.

Another one of my interests that is duck related is that I have carved decoys since 1993. It is relaxing for me and I enjoy seeing a bird come to life out of a piece of wood. I am getting close to bird # 250 and boy how things have changed since my early days of carving. First you have to learn the birds anatomy. Then you have to carve that into wood. Then you have to figure out how to paint! Everyone knows that a mallard drake has a green head, but it is amazing how difficult that can be to reproduce with paint on wood. I have carved turkeys, swans, doves and of course ducks. All are working decoys that I hunt over in my own rig. The birds that don't stay in my rig usually go to family or friends or are donated to a conservation organization.

Turkey hunting is also a huge passion of mine. Like many, I have spent lots of time in the woods in the spring and can usually figure out how to make a turkey tick. Regardless, I still learn something new almost every time I am out. That is the thing that keeps hunting fun for life, you never know everything all of the time. For me, duck hunting is like being married, it is a way of life and something that you focus on every day. Turkey hunting on the other hand is like a wild passionate love affair that doesn't last long, but sure is lots of fun!
