Hank Patton

The Ol' Tom gear has changed my way of thinking about turkey hunting clothing. Now, if they can figure out how to get the hills flattened out, the gobblers to do what I think they should, and the hens to fly the other way, we'll all be happy!!!

Years with the "Turkey Hunting Addiction": Over 20, but who's counting!

Hank Patton is a Kentucky native, and works for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. Hank is an avid turkey hunter, and has 5 wild turkey Grand Slams to his credit. Hank is an active NWTF member, and conducts turkey hunting seminars across Eastern Kentucky. Hank served as a Regional Director for the NWTF, for 8 years, working Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Kentucky. Hank lives in Berea, Kentucky, with his wife Susan and daughter Becky.

Hank is a long-time turkey hunter that has passion for the gobble of the wild turkey. "I guess I would classify myself as a turkey hunting fanatic! I absolutely love every aspect of turkey hunting, whether I get the shot, or not. I guess my greatest thrill in the woods was the day I watched my 14 year old daughter, Becky, kill her first gobbler. I would like to say it was a bird I shot, but anyone who has shared the woods, and harvested a gobbler with a child, family member, or a first-time hunter shares the same feelings I have. If we don't promote turkey hunting as a wholesome, ethical outdoor opportunity to the future hunters, we have failed all those that came before us. Every year that I am blessed enough to get in the woods, I will introduce a new hunter to the sport of turkey hunting. You should make it a point, as well!"

"I am excited to be involved with Ol' Tom, and appreciate the effort they have taken in designing their apparel. Like every turkey hunter I know, I have looked for product that had the pockets in the right place, was comfortable, and was durable. I have found it with Ol' Tom! I don't consider myself a 'gadget guy', but I carry quite a few calls, decoys, and associated stuff. Nothing is more frustrating than to know you have something in your vest…but can't find it! The layout of the vests, pants and shirts make it easy to keep things organized, and where they are easily accessed. The clothing is durable, and will take the abuse turkey hunters dish out. The Ol' Tom gear has changed my way of thinking about turkey hunting clothing. Now, if they can figure out how to get the hills flattened out, the gobblers to do what I think they should, and the hens to fly the other way, we'll all be happy!!!"
