I was born in Kingsport, Tennessee and spent most of my life here hunting and fishing the rugged mountains of East Tennessee. My mom and dad taught me to hunt and fish at an early age and I spent most of my spare time in the woods or on the water learning from my dad, Mike. Upland hunting was the love of my parents and it became a passion of mine as well; which would lead me to pursue waterfowling and big game hunting on my own. I fell in love with duck hunting and eventually bow hunting deer and turkeys. My first season as a duck hunter consisted of building a homemade blind from metal fence posts and chicken wire and decoying wood ducks and mallards over a small creek on one of our family farms. My success was limited, but I had been changed forever. Those raw, youthful experiences taught me that a good hunter works hard and creatively year-round to achieve success. That motto still holds true today even after many years of hunting.

My love of the outdoors has allowed me to use my work in digital media and the internet to meet and collaborate with companies such as Rich-n-Tone calls, Whisper Creek Archery, and other industry professionals to create innovative websites and multimedia. I served as Marketing Director for the Outdoor Journal, a Tennessee based media company that produces television programming and videos for The Outdoor Channel, CSS, and numerous local and regional broadcast stations. I've also been lucky enough to Pro Staff for Mathews Archery, Scott Archery, Watkins Custom Duck Calls, and Skeeter Boats. I'm thrilled to be a part of the Ol' Tom Field Staff and I appreciate the opportunity that Kelley Powers has extended to me to work with such a great and diverse company.

In our part of the country, nothing is flat, and hunting a wise old gobbler often involves getting to the woods hours before daylight and hiking up steep mountainsides and logging roads just to achieve the right setup. The ability to pack light and still have all the right equipment means everything in such a challenging environment. Ol' Tom offers that competitive advantage. I'm excited about continuing to work with and promote such a strong brand in the industry.
